EuroNanoForum 2013

Dates : 18 June,2013 - 20 June,2013
Location: Dublin

EuroNanoForum 2013 focuses on the commercialisation of nanotechnologies, exploiting its potential for new applications and taking them further from enabling technologies to end products. It will also introduce the industry to new innovations for growth opportunities.

With Horizon2020 beginning in 2014, the conference will also show how nanotechnologies fit into the new structure within Europe’s key priority areas of excellent science, industrial leadership and tackling societal challenges.

Regarding Food theme we kindly inform that it is foreseen the following session:

From fibrils to packaging: innovations along the food and consumer goods chain
Day 1: Tuesday 18th: 16:30

Research activities on applications of nanotechnology in the food sector already include development of improved taste, colour, flavour, texture and consistency of food products, improved quality, shelf-life and safety of food products, and nanosensors for traceability and monitoring the condition of food during transport and storage. “The world is thirsty because we are hungry,” notes the United Nations on World Water Day. Understanding how Nanotechnology can help address the challenge of food security and water efficiency, is key to fight dearth and addresses a major societal challenge globally.
